SELTEN & SCHÜCHTERN is a poignant exploration of female solidarity and individual strength, conceived by the collaborative minds of Marie Zechiel and Shari Annabel Marks. This project delves into the beauty of female companionship and the profound impact of each individual within a collective. Marie Zechiel s role was pivotal in bringing this vision to life. Marie Zechiel was responsible for the movement direction and creative concept of SELTEN & SCHÜCHTERN, guiding the project from inception to execution. Her role involved crafting the choreography and movement sequences that highlight the project’s core themes of shelter, tenderness, and unity. Marie s expertise ensured that every performer’s unique personality was celebrated, contributing to a harmonious and inseparable collective presence. Working with a diverse group of 20 performers, Marie meticulously designed movements that conveyed the elemental ideas of physical touch and togetherness. Her choreography was not only a technical endeavor but also an emotional journey, aimed at fostering a space free of judgment and comparison.
