Snowlover by Unprocessed
Marie Zechiel collaborated with director Leo Feimer to craft a powerful visual narrative for Snowlover, the latest release by internationally renowned band Unprocessed. As Movement Director, Zechiel developed a choreography that delves into the complexities of power, control, and inner dependency. Her approach centers on the idea of shifting dynamics — how authority can be held, lost, and reclaimed in the space between two bodies. Working closely with two dancers, Zechiel devised a series of intricate partnering sequences that embody this emotional tension. Each movement was designed to reflect the evolving balance of dominance and vulnerability, exploring how connection can simultaneously empower and entrap. Through physical storytelling, the choreography channels the psychological layers of the song, adding depth and intensity to the video’s visual language. The result is a performance that feels both intimate and unsettling — a visceral reflection of Snowlovers themes. Zechiels contribution goes beyond movement alone; it shapes the rhythm and emotional arc of the entire piece. In collaboration with Feimer’s directorial vision, her choreography becomes the thread that ties narrative, music, and visual together. This project once again highlights her unique ability to use movement as a narrative force, bridging sound and story through embodied emotion.
