JAZ Hotel, Feel SMART and SAFE

Creating a film that addresses the complexities of COVID-19 pandemic regulations and safety measures in hotels can be challenging, but the Jaz Hotel Stuttgart took a unique approach. They aimed to convey these important messages through an aesthetically driven, dance and music-focused film, emphasizing both safety and the guest experience. Marie Zechiel played a crucial role in this project as the choreographer and movement director and as a cast. Tasked with translating the abstract concepts of safety and comfort into a visual and emotional narrative, Marie used dance to create a film that is not only informative but also engaging and visually compelling. Her choreography emphasized the importance of following safety measures while also capturing the essence of hospitality and care that the Jaz Hotel Stuttgart offers to every guest. The films concept and direction were crafted by Clemens Wittkowski of Bauhouse, who envisioned a project that would go beyond traditional safety videos. By integrating dance and music, the film was able to communicate its message in a way that was both impactful and memorable. Marie’s choreography was central to this vision, providing a dynamic and expressive element that brought the film to life. Marie worked closely with the dancers to ensure that every movement reflected the core message of the film: Feel Smart & Safe. Through her expert direction, the dancers were able to convey a sense of ease and reassurance, showing that even with necessary restrictions, the passion for hospitality and attention to detail remained uncompromised. This project was more than just a safety film—it was a creative exploration of how to maintain human connection and care in the face of new challenges. Marie Zechiel’s choreography was essential in achieving this, turning a practical message into an artistic and emotionally resonant experience.
