Zugezogen Maskulin – Uwe & Heiko

UWE und HEIKO, official Music Video for Zugezogen Maskulin

The official music video for Uwe und Heiko by the Berlin Hip-Hop duo Zugezogen Maskulin showcases a dynamic collaboration between the artists and a talented creative team. Choreographed by Marie Zechiel, directed by Lennard Brede, and produced by Embassy of Dreams, this video presents a bold visual narrative that complements the duo’s hard-hitting lyrics and energetic performance. One of the standout elements of this video is the underwater choreography, a unique and challenging aspect that adds a surreal and ethereal quality to the visuals. Marie Zechiel’s choreography plays a crucial role in the video’s impact, adding layers of physical expression that amplify the music’s intensity. Working closely with Lennard Brede, Marie crafted movement sequences that align with the gritty and rebellious tone of the track, even under the constraints of water. The underwater setting required innovative approaches to movement, as the dancers had to adapt their physicality to the fluid environment. Marie Zechiel s choreography is marked by sharp, rhythmic movements that, despite the resistance of water, mirror the cadence of the lyrics, creating a visceral connection between the dancers and the music. This underwater choreography not only enhances the storytelling but also brings an otherworldly dimension to the performance, making it visually arresting. Marie s approach was not just about dance but about embodying the raw energy and social commentary that Zugezogen Maskulin is known for. The underwater movements reflect themes of resistance and defiance, creating a powerful juxtaposition with the track’s aggressive tone. The collaboration between Brede and Zechiel ensured that the underwater choreography was showcased authentically and cinematically, resulting in a music video that is visually compelling and deeply connected to Berlins hip-hop scene.
