Movement Direction Ebow Arbayt
For the official music video ARBAYT by German artist Ebow, Marie Zechiel worked as both Choreographer and Movement Director. The project combines powerful visual storytelling with a strong physical language that reflects the themes of work, identity, resilience, and community.
Working closely with the artist and creative team, Marie developed movement concepts that supported the emotional atmosphere of the film while maintaining authenticity throughout the performance. Rather than relying on traditional choreography alone, the focus was placed on creating a movement language that felt natural, expressive, and closely connected to the song’s message.
As Movement Director, Marie guided the performers on set and shaped gestures, posture, rhythm, and physical presence in front of the camera. Every movement was carefully considered to strengthen the visual narrative and create memorable cinematic moments.
The result is a music video where choreography becomes an essential storytelling tool. Movement supports the emotional depth of the song and enhances the connection between performer, environment, and audience.
ARBAYT is another example of Marie Zechiel’s work at the intersection of choreography, movement direction, and visual storytelling for music videos, commercials, and artistic film productions.
